Description
Strapping
Polypropylene strapping offers the greatest elongation of all strapping and has a good recovery of initial properties Very flexible & will mould around most surfaces Commonly the most cost effective of all the strapping methods Can be friction sealed to cut out the usage of seals (Friction Sealer required) Available in a wide range of thicknesses & strengths Available for both hand & machine applications
Most commonly used where superior strength and protection is needed Protects during air, sea, rail and road shipping Available in a variety of widths and thicknesses Different variations & grades available – Zinc, Black etc.
Has a stronger Break Strain than Poly & would be similar to steel strapping giving excellent retained tension properties Higher tensile strength Can be used to replace Steel in some applications giving a neater finish Polyester can be friction sealed to cut out the usage of seals, (Friction Sealer needed)
Cord Strap is closed using a buckle which can have a more closed seal Higher elongation which gives it an ideal memory for sea and rail shipments Used in Balers, primarily for ease of use
Strapping is a popular, economical method of stabilising items on a pallet. There are several options in materials & thicknesses to suit your needs.
