Strapping
Strapping is a popular, economical method of stabilising items on a pallet. There are several options in materials & thicknesses to suit your needs.
Polypropylene Strapping
Polypropylene strapping offers the greatest elongation of all strapping and has a good recovery of initial propertiesVery flexible & will mould around most surfacesCommonly the most cost effective of all the strapping methodsCan be friction sealed to cut out the usage of seals (Friction Sealer required)Available in a wide range of thicknesses & strengthsAvailable for both hand & machine applications
Steel Strapping
Most commonly used where superior strength and protection is neededProtects during air, sea, rail and road shippingAvailable in a variety of widths and thicknessesDifferent variations & grades available – Zinc, Black etc.
Polyester Strapping
Has a stronger Break Strain than Poly & would be similar to steel strapping giving excellent retained tension propertiesHigher tensile strengthCan be used to replace Steel in some applications giving a neater finishPolyester can be friction sealed to cut out the usage of seals, (Friction Sealer needed)
Cord Strap
Cord Strap is closed using a buckle which can have a more closed sealHigher elongation which gives it an ideal memory for sea and rail shipmentsUsed in Balers, primarily for ease of use
